Good Design Award is a comprehensive and annual program for the evaluation and commendation of design, organized by Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP). The Award winners range from tangible design such as industrial products, architecture, housing, to intangible design such as applications, services communication design, business model design, etc. It will contribute to the improvement of life and industry. Only Good Design Award recipients can use G Mark logo.

The monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award is awarded by the Prime Minister to people of various generations involved in monodzukuri, including middle-aged people playing the central role in the manufacturing workplaces, elderly people preserving traditional and culturally important skills and young people set to support the future of the manufacturing industry, who are recognized for their outstanding skills, in order to ensure the continuation and further development of “monodzukuri,” which has underpinned the development of Japanese industries and cultures and has greatly enriched the people‘s lives.
