President / CEO
President of Seiren KST and General Manager of OPTO Business. He is engaged in launching the semiconductor business as a process engineer at RICOH Company, Ltd. He lived in Silicon Valley, USA from 1991 to 2019. He experienced IPOs at NASDAQ and TSE Mothers while working as Vice President of Operations at a fabless design company for imaging LSIs.
Akira Himeno
Engineering Manager
Akira Himeno received the BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees from Tohoku University in 1977, 1979 and 1991, respectively. In 1979 he joined NTT Corporation where he worked on research and development of waveguide devices for the fiber-optic communication systems. In 2018 he joined SEIREN KST Corp., where he has been engaged in development of waveguide devices for visible light applications. He is also a visiting professor of University of Fukui, Japan.
